Our story…
We at Inlet Woodworking started out as a small group of friends who loved boating and fishing in and around the Chesapeake Bay and Lynnhaven River watersheds. We were searching for a way to turn our love of woodworking into a business that would not only allow us a creative outlet for us to create functional works of art, but allow us to contribute back to the waterways where we enjoy spending so much time with our friends and families. We are always striving for that perfect balance of form, function, and personalization that allows us to create something more than your everyday board or décor item. We draw inspiration from this beautiful natural wonder we are lucky to call home. Inlet Woodworking is proud to use a portion of our sales to support local non-profits that contribute to this area’s waterways. When you purchase from us you can do so with the knowledge and satisfaction that you are helping to make a difference and support the Chesapeake Bay, Lynnhaven River and other estuaries so that we and future generations can enjoy them for years to come.

We have a philosophy of balance — a balance of traditional and modern techniques, of artistic components and functional design, and of passion and skill.
We work with local vendors to source all of the woods, finishes, and craftsmanship that go into our products and business whenever possible. We strive to balance a successful business with that of an ecologically responsible one. Our people are our greatest asset — and we hope that each piece of functional art we make for you displays the craftsmanship and the passion of those who pour their skill and care into each item we make.
